I think Joachim's surname suggests a Brittish origin as much Walter's surname suggests a German origin, as much as Leon's surname suggests a French origin, and as such as Mathias's name suggests a Hungarian origin (Mathias Cronqvist is based off Mathias Corvinus, who had suzerany over Vlad Tepes and even once had him as his prisoner).
